Lubuskie airport designed to meet the requirements for disabled passengers!
Following the provisions of Regulation (EC) 1107/2006 of the European Parliament, Zielona Góra / Babimost Airport introduced a number of facilities for disabled persons and people with reduced mobility at the terminal.
This means that all disabled people traveling from the port of Lubuskie have the opportunity to use the airport assist at no cost, from the point of entry, through the check-in and check-out procedures, to the seat of the aircraft. This also applies to passengers arriving at the airport.
If, for reasons of disability or reduced mobility, the passenger needs assistance, it will be sufficient to notify the carrier at the stage of booking and purchase of the ticket but not later than 48 hours before the intended departure. This will help to guarantee the service the disabled passenger needs and expects in a timely manner
Arrangement of transport to and from the airport
1. Bus – bus stops are in front of the terminal (level of arrivals and departures).
2. Parking – the parking had the lots for the disabled. The access to terminal has lowered kerbs (gentle ramps and driveways).
At the airport
Upon arrival at the airport a disabled passenger may apply to the check-in desk. Airport staff will be available at the latest within 10 minutes after arrival (for passengers who have requested assistance at least 48 hours prior to the flight). Airport staff are obliged to make every effort to ensure the disabled person’s expected help, however, this may require some longer waiting time.
In the terminal
Toilets – in the area of the airport, both in the public and reserved area there are toilets adapted for the needs of the disabled.
